We seek a post-doctoral level research scientist to fill the post of atmospheric modeller in the high-resolution global modelling component of JCRP (Met Office Hadley Centre-NERC), which also involves collaboration with KMA (Korea). The atmospheric modeller will principally contribute to the building of a high-resolution version of the HadGEM3 global climate model, HadGEM3-H.
This post offers the unique opportunity to work in a specialised team, focussing on developing and exploiting the “top of the line” of the HadGEM3 model family hierarchy. HadGEM3-H will drive the development of lower-resolution models by the wider national and international community and we expect the atmospheric modeller to produce model analysis spanning resolution and complexity, to support this activity.
